From within the three sections of the Southern Necropolis there lies an unique “window on time” to the rich historic legacy of our ancestors. The headstones themselves stand as “inscribed” references to individuals who have indeed lived a life worth remembering.
The trail map at the rear of the book links to onsite markers throughout the cemetery, and includes an interesting and varied sample of “resident” characters and the monument landscape that surrounds them.

While you enjoy your walk along the trail please remember that the Southern Necropolis is indeed a burial ground and should be respected and treated as such.
